A  PLAYERS ONLY meeting for anyone interested in playing baseball this spring at Sarasota High School will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd @ 2:35p on the Sarasota High School Baseball Field.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION & REMINDERS:

 

***BELOW are two (2) REQUIRED forms that MUST be completed prior to participating in fall workouts. Please review and complete each form. The forms can be returned either by the player bringing a completed copy of each to the meeting on September 2nd OR emailing completed forms to Coach Metcalf at cmetc3232@comcast.net . If emailing them, please put the "player's name - FORMS" in the Subject of the email; i.e. "John Smith - Forms".

***REMINDER - Fall workouts begin on Wednesday, September 9th after school. NO PLAYER WILL BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND UNTIL THEIR ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION PACKET IS ON FILE WITH THE SHS ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT. If you have not done so already, please complete the packet through athleticclearance.com and submit ALL forms related to the Athletic Packet requirement through the website as well.

 

***TRYOUTS FOR OUR FALL BASEBALL PROGRAM

9-10 GRADERS - Monday, September 14th at 4:00p at the Sarasota High Baseball field

11-12 GRADERS - Tuesday, September 15th at 4:00p at the Sarasota High Baseball field

 

REMINDER - Because the Fall baseball program opportunity is completely independent of the SHS Baseball program, there is a cost of $325 per player to pay the necessary expense of insurance, field rental, etc. for those players who make one of the teams. Participation, or lack thereof, in this opportunity does not have any impact on the Spring tryouts for a roster spot on either the JV or Varsity Sarasota High Baseball teams.

SENIOR NIGHT... Wednesday, April 15th, the Sarasota Sailors baseball program was scheduled to “continue the tradition” by celebrating the accomplishments of this year’s Senior class prior to the match up against Braden River. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the game has been canceled… but our desire to celebrate and recognize our Seniors remains strong. The Sailor Baseball coaching staff would like to thank each Senior for the hard work and dedication they brought to our program over the past four years. While we all understand the necessary pause to our season, we are also eager to the time when we can get together (hopefully in the not so distant future) to celebrate these Seniors contributions to the Sailor Baseball program over the past four years.   -Coach Metcalf
